Only the top eight out of nineteen from the women's snowboard superpipe qualifier made it into Friday's final. These eight ladies literally shut down the pipe, as they were the last event of the day to compete. Although as the sun retreated behind the mountains, competitors bestow in stunning lighting that complemented their impressive performance.



The final hosted six USA athletes as this event played a role in earning Olympic nomination points towards the U.S. Team. Watch Chloe Kim, Kelly Clark, Arielle Gold, Hannah Teter, Mirabelle Thovex, Queralt Castellet, Elena Hight, and Maddie Mastro gracefully stomp the superpipe in the highlight video above.
