Metallurg Magnitogorsk hosted Sibir for the 1st time since last season's Eastern Conference Semifinals.
The game could go either way but it was Danis Zaripov who scored his 3rd shootout winner of the season and Magnitka walked away with 2 points. Sergei Mozyakin scored his 250th career KHL goal becoming the first player to achieve the milestone.
